Daisy Class would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

This week we had a very exciting visitor… Father Christmas! 

We also enjoyed our Christmas dinner – wearing party hats, eating yummy food and pulling Christmas crackers.

A Week Of Christmas Fun In Daisy Class!

This week in Daisy class we have been getting into the Christmas spirit and doing lots of fun Christmas activities! We have enjoyed reading our Christmas story ‘Dear Santa’, making Christmas decorations, posting our letters to Father Christmas, decorating the Christmas tree, singing and dancing to Christmas songs, and today we had an exciting surprise in the sensory area…a snow machine!

Having fun building our muscles

Daisy class have been exploring our Physical development through movement. We have been drawing lines and circles using both gross and fine movement control.

We loved drawing in the shaving foam…..


and look at our paint pen mark making…..


We were so busy having fun we didn’t realise we were learning!

Thomas The Tank Engine!

Peek A Boo Jungle





This term in Daisy class our Topic Theme is Toys. We have been exploring the Peek a Boo Jungle book. The children have enjoyed discovering the animals from the story!


What noise do they make?

What colour are they?

How do they move?


We have used a wide range of materials in different environments to embed the children’s jungle animal learning. The Children loved taking our jungle puppets to the forest today.

Happy Birthday Ladywood!

Daisy Class have had a fantastic day celebrating Ladywood’s 20th Birthday. We wore party hats, explored the animal tea party, danced with balloons and did some Birthday crafts.

Happy Half Term!

This week the children in Daisy class have enjoyed lots of Halloween themed learning and activities! We also had a Halloween party with our friends in Primrose class. What an exciting week!

Fun In The Forest.


If you go down to the woods today…..

Daisy class explored the Forest Area at our main site Yesterday, The children were very curious about where they where going on the school bus.

Once in the forest area the children enjoyed climbing and moving with confidence. 

We had a lovely time and the children were amazing !

Row row row your boat.

Daisy Class have enjoyed listening to lots of Nursery Rhymes but one of our favourites is ‘Row Row Row your Boat’.

The children especially enjoyed the crocodile puppet and counting numbers in water. Well done Daisy Class!

Hello Yellow – World Mental Health Day!

Today we have been supporting World Mental Health Day. The children in Daisy class have all enjoyed exploring and playing with our yellow themed activities and sensory trays.

We have been cutting and mashing bananas, writing and tracing in custard and yellow rice, exploring edible banana foam and making banana faces. What a fun day!
