Hello everyone, we hope you are all keeping well and staying safe at home.
If we were in school our topic this half term would be “Dare to Be Different”. We thought it might be helpful to share an overview of the topic along with a few symbols which might be useful.
A large part of this topic was built around plants and how all plants are different. We were going to carry out surveys to look at the colour of flowers, use tally charts to record our survey and turn these in to simple graphs. We were also going to plant seeds and watch them grow.
Here is a song which has been a favourite with classes when they are developing their knowledge of growing and plants. Please click on the link which will take you to the video (sorry it doesn’t want to embed in this post!)
In art we were going to look at the artwork of famous artists such as Van Gogh and create our own interpretations. We have been busy at my house creating pictures of sunflowers. Here are our pictures …
Why don’t you have a go at creating a sunflower picture or craft. We would love to see your creations.
Don’t forget to check back in later in the week for our next blog … we will be creating rainbows with a simple science experiment.
