Lovely to see so many parents in school

I hope you enjoyed the long weekend and managed to get outside to enjoy the sunshine.

It has been so lovely this week seeing so many parents in school this week. Yesterday we had parents training on puberty which was very well received, whilst today we were treated to Class 3T’s amazing assembly – it is always fabulous to see our children showing how wonderful they are.

In addition we have had lots of parent visits into school and we always receive such great feedback about Ladywood.

Lots to celebrate this week

Ladywood children have had another busy week at school.

It was lovely to see lots of children being ‘Stars of the Week’ on Monday.

We have had a few special visitors in school this week. Reception classes had a visit from a guide dog whilst 6N and 6V had a visit from Chan, from the Interfaith Council, who talked to the children about what it is like to follow the Hindu Religion. Our Year 5 pupils were taught how to make pizzas today by Urban Outreach – they smelt delicious 🙂

Class 3L have been successful in securing their film and popcorn party, that they have all been working towards.

Class3L rewardsWell done Class 3L –  keep up the great work.

We had our first ‘Friends of Ladywood’ meeting this term on Wednesday – thank you to those parents who joined us. We are busy planning for the Easter Bingo which will take place Tuesday 28th March.

Also, the training session around communication was attended by several of our parents – thank you again to the parents who attended.

First Week Back

We have had a lovely first week back in school despite the weather at times.

Our Year 6 children have started swimming, whilst pupils in Class 1H and 1F enjoyed a pirate themed day on Thursday.

Next week there are two activities specifically for parents:

  • On Tuesday afternoon we have a Parents group which is focused on Communication
  • On Wednesday 5:00-6:00 there is the Parents Association meeting at Curly Whurleez

We look forward to seeing some of you there.

Have a lovely weekend
