Music Festival

Ladywood has had another fabulous week. We have lots of classes going on their end of year school trip and our Year 6 pupils are going on transition visits to the new secondary schools.

On Friday our pupils performed at the Bolton Music Festival and once again they were amazing. It was a very proud evening watching our pupils on stage singing, dancing, signing and playing instruments. They really are stars! A huge thank you to the Ladywood staff who supported our children to achieve on this night.

Happy weekend

Lots of super learning

The classes have been very busy this week with their learning. I have seen some Anglo Saxons in school as well as seeing children make some amazing Greek mosaic tiles. Luckily the weather has continued to be mainly dry which is enabling us to take our learning outside much more. The staff and children are also busy planting in our planters which is bringing some lovely colour to Ladywood.

Have a lovely weekend

Wonderful Writing & Reading News!

Well done to all the children at Ladywood school for a super World Book Day 2018. All children received their ‘Flying High in Reading’ certificates. Thank you to all the parents for all your support.

Congratulations to  the children at Ladywood who entered the Young Writers competition! We are so proud of you and we hope to see your publications soon!

A Simply Scientific Day

Today was the launch of Science Week at Ladywood. We were delighted to have Professor Auroa joining us to make our Sublime Slime Day even more terrific.

We have learnt how to use different ingredients to make sweets and all about gravity – even managing to defy it at times! In addition, we got to make our very own SLIME!

We had so much fun exploring and investigating and are now wondering what tomorrow will bring!

Science Week is nearly here …

Ladywood School has been a hive of activity once again. We started our week with Book Day and all the children (and staff) looked amazing. We are all very busy with our curriculum learning with educational visits to lots of exciting places.

Next Week it is Science Week and there are lots of investigations planed. On Monday we have ‘Sublime Science’ Workshops planned and at the end of the week we will be visited by a ‘Mad Scientist’.

Wishing you a lovely weekend

Susan and everyone at Ladywood

3G’s learning this week

It’s been a busy week in 3G learning about shape in maths, sorting plants and animals and going on a mini-beast hunt.  We are continuing our learning next week on instructions, thinking about our emotions in PSHE and what makes a good friend.  We are also continuing gymnastics at the Arena and looking forward to our visit at the Church in Bolton on Friday.

We hope that you have a lovely weekend!
