A curriculum of opportunity

Our curriculum offer continues to offer such a vast array of experiences for our children ensuring we are focusing on the whole child.

On Tuesday we held a Ready, Steady, Cook (5M, 5P, 6K) experience for our children. Three of our classes spent the morning making delicious food and in the afternoon we all had to vote for the best one. It was wonderful seeing the children work together and practicing so many skills for life. Personally I thought all the dishes were amazing 😊

On Wednesday 3C presented a fabulous assembly on being a good friend, thank you to everyone who attended.

Happy weekend

Ladywood Loves Learning

We have had a great week at Ladywood. The children have been so busy with their learning, it has been wonderful to see. It is also fabulous to see our children learn in the different areas of the school.

Well done to 2S for their amazing Chinese New Year Assembly; the children were fabulous dancing and speaking in front of a large audience. Also well done to all our Stars of the Week 🌟

Finally I must mention our amazing Year 6 swimmers. The children are doing so well developing their water confidence, learning new skills and receiving lots of certificates! Well done to all 😊

Wonderful Week

We have had another wonderful week at Ladywood. On Tuesday we had a visit to both the main site and Little Ladywood by the Bolton Director of People, Bernie Brown. On her visit she was extremely complimentary about our pupils and staff.

This week saw the start of our Class Assemblies again; Class 6H did an amazing job and made everyone in the room think about how we can help people who are less fortunate on ourselves – Well Done 6H

On Thursday our Year 6 pupils went swimming for the first time. When they came back they were full of enthusiasm – stating that they had had the best time ever!!

Wising everyone a lovely weekend (I believe it is meant to be dry :))

Little Ladywood

On Monday we opened our new reception site, named ‘Little Ladywood. The children had a great first day and settled into their new environment extremely well. A huge thanks must go to the EYFS team who have worked tirelessly to make this transition for the children as smooth as possible. We look forward to welcoming our parents to our new building in the future…

MACMILLAN Coffee Morning

It was lovely to see so many families supporting our Macmillan Coffee morning, thank you to everyone. The children in Key Stage 2 were marvellous hosts, acting as greeters, servers and providing a warm welcome to all.

We have raised an amazing amount….

Week 2

Week 2 at Ladywood has been fabulous! The children have settled into the school routine extremely well and we have started our music and dance sessions run by Ian and Naomi.

We had our first assembly on Friday, in which we welcomed new children and staff. One of the highlights for me was seeing friends from the older classes choosing to be together in their golden time session, lots of fun, laughter and smiles could be seen.

Have a lovely weekend, I hope it is a sunny one.
