Today, we’re going to be looking at making our own stained glass windows! Stained glass windows are often found in churches, which is where Christians go to worship. Let’s take a look at some of the beautiful stained glass window designs:
Stained glass windows in churches tend to make up pictures of scenes from religious stories in the Bible, which are very important to Christians. These scenes are seen as an important tool in teaching Christian beliefs.
Can you think of something that is important to you that you could put on a stained glass window?
Now let’s make our stained glass windows with Emma!
You will need:
- 1 plastic wallet,
- Paint brushes,
- A range of colours of paint (whatever you prefer!)
Now, wait for your design to dry and stick it up in your window! It will look beautiful as the sunshine starts to shine through and show all the different colours.
Pupil Voice: “Making stained glass windows with Emma, I think it’s…”
We would love to see a picture of your stained glass window! Please send these to your class email address.
Take care everyone,
Hannah, Emma and Julie
