Fantastic End to a Great Year! :)

Class 6P had a wonderful time on our end of year trip yesterday. We were very lucky to have fantastic weather and the children had an amazing time playing in the splash zone at Lytham St Annes. It was so lovely to see them all so happily playing together. We enjoyed our time in the splash zone then had chips with our packed lunches followed by huge ice creams. It really was a lovely end to a fantastic year in class. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our parents for their continued support all year we could not do it without you. We would like to wish the children leaving us lots of luck in their new schools and classes in September we will miss you all lots but we know they will be amazing 🙂

Ice Cream!!

This week Class 6P have been working on a DT project about ice cream. We looked at what ingredients we needed to make our own ice cream, then we worked together to make it. We then designed our own ice cream by choosing our favourite topics. We made our ice creams and then tasted them. Daniel said “it’s yummy” Euan said “it’s creamy”. Everyone really enjoyed our project it was so much fun and very tasty 🙂

We have timed races in our Maths topic learning, learned about fast and slow animals in science, retold the story for our writing learning and talked about how we feel when we win or loose in our PSHE lesson. The children have loved acting out the story and having Hare and Tortoise races in class.

A Walk at the Farm

On Wednesday Class 6P went for a walk on the footpath by Smithills Farm. We stopped to look at the animals on our way. We saw wallabies, cows, sheep and baby lambs. We identified young and old animals as part of our science learning. We saw the lambs being fed by their mothers. The children loved seeing the animal and showed how much they had learnt this half term.
